Who We Are
I'm Christi, a proud wife and mom navigating the whirlwind of twin parenthood with 3 under 3! My husband and I have been married for nine years, we have a 3 year old daughter and 6 month old fraternal twins (boy/girl.) Former teacher and nanny, I've worn many hats, but my heart is in crafting and DIY projects. My passion for building blossomed during middle school mission trips with our church youth group, where I discovered the thrill of crafting something from scratch. High school and college saw me constructing sets for theater, honing my skills in turning imagination into reality. Now, those building skills are the foundation for creating beautifully functional spaces for my family. With a rich background spanning 20 years of nannying and teaching preschool through second grades, I've been immersed in the world of childhood development. There's nothing quite like witnessing the joy on a child's face when they master a new skill, and being a part of that growth process is truly rewarding. Balancing chaos with creativity is my specialty – a true Jill of all trades! Join me on this adventure of family, DIY, and finding joy in the everyday.
I’m Reenie! I’m a mom, wife, nurse, self taught DIYer and budget-lover! I’m a bonus mom to a teenage daughter and mom to two toddler boys. I work full time, and on my days off I’m a full time mom all while planning my next DIY and running the day to day household needs. Needless to say, I’m very busy. I started DIY about ten years ago mainly because I realized how frugal I am. I quickly developed a “can-do” attitude. By that I mean, anything I saw or any home improvement I wanted done, I would think about it and say “I can do that”. Plus, after finding out the prices people will charge for their work was outrageous! So my frugalness and love of budgeting ultimately led to my love of DIY. I’ll be posting all of my DIY projects, tips and tricks for sticking to a budget, and overall ways to make being a mom in a chaotic world a little bit easier.
